AQUARIUM PLANTS

There are many varieties of aquatic plants suitable for aquariums. They provide luscious splashes of green foliage while also providing habitat for your aquarium residents. Some also have the benefit of being edible.

Aquarium plants can be easily attached to wood, rock or clay structures using fishing line until they develop roots that will anchor them on their own. The fishing line can then be removed.

Many plants will also grow well planted in gravel substrate, but don’t like being moved around.

Aquascaped aquariums utilise a soil layer for plant growth, anchored down by a top layer of gravel.
